Money money money money ... MONEY

Wow. So it's been a really long time since I've blogged hm. Sorry about that ... during the Thanksgiving holidays I had to write two papers ... and then it just seemed to not stop!

But, I'm in the middle of a study break ... so I'll pass some time with a little bloggity blog blog blog.

During the Thanksgiving holidays I asked people to answer a few questions about what they would do for 2 million dollars.

The results were just as I expected ... a lot of people gave the Sunday School answers.

What triggered these questions was a segment on KRBE 104.1 that talked about how the average amount of money that a person would leave their spouse/significant other for was 2 million dollars. AND that WOMEN were more likely to take the money than men were.

I was shocked by this ... not only that the price to leave the person that you love was so low, but that women would be more apt to take the money than men. So I wanted to see what my friends thought about the whole thing.

No one opted to take the 2 million when it came to leaving your significant other ... mainly because it wouldn't be any fun having that much money if you didn't have that other person to enjoy it with.

Which is good and all ... but what IS the price that you would be willing to leave your significant other for?

Well, I think 2 million would be a nice sort of sum to leave to take care of someone they leave behind, if they should happen to lose their life ... but I'm not sure I could be bribed to leave someone I cared about for mere money! You can't take it with you and it's cold comfort to be alone with I'm sure.

I really don’t think I could do it …

I mean there are a lot of things I would do for 2 million … but leaving/never talking to J again just isn’t an option …

Let me ask you something …
What would it take to get YOU to leave Aaron?

Well I don't have a significant other... but I do have the hope of finding someone that I would never want to leave, no matter the price!

Though I can see that being true about women... studies have shown that married men are happier than married women.

Hey, I try leave my husband all of the time, for no money! I wouldn't leave him for just $2 million, but I would take the money if I were walking out of the door already anyway. He's so aggravating! GRRR! All of his spare time is in front of the TV or couch, while I do homework, housecleaning, grocery shopping, laundry, cooking, and chasing Lily, changing all of her diapers, making all of her meals, managing her nap times... And he complains about how tired he is! Tired from what? Resting?? ARRRGGH!

The problem is that I love him. If I didn't love him, I wouldn't have trouble leaving him. So I guess that's a good sign...?
